What is InByTheEye?
Regular column in:
InByTheEye*, as a phrase, comes from a Vladimir Nabokov quote:
"If a book could be read in the same way as a painting is taken in by the eye,
that is, without the bother of working from left to right, and without the absurdity
of beginnings and ends, this would be the ideal way of appreciating a novel, for thus
the author saw it at the moment of conception."

As a creative entity InByTheEye is a company I created which focuses on
works of a mythic nature - those works being films, writings, plays, and events.
I chose this name to remind me of my initial moments of inspiration and hold
them tightly as the primary source behind everything I do.

"I do think that your work delves into the questions of what fairy tales can tell us as
women's tales more deeply than nearly any other contemporary artist that I know
about - so I'm grateful to be along for the journey. I'm saying that as a man, of
course, and not as a woman viewer, but I deeply appreciate what you're
doing and attempting."
